Today's science lesson is about skeletons.
Did you know that different animals can have different types of skeletons?
Our body is amazing! When we are born we have about 300 bones in our body but as we grow older, some bones fuse together. That means we have about 206 bones in our bodies when we are adults.
Today you will learn the words endoskeleton, exoskeleton and hydrostatic skeleton.
To help me remember which one is which, I think of this...
EXO sounds like exit. An exit will take you OUTSIDE. An exoskeleton is on the outside of the body.
ENDO-the word inside has N in it. Could this help you remember that an endoskeleton is inside the body?
