Parent Governor Election 2019


Please find on this page all the information you may need about the process to become a parent governor at St Thomas' and any additional information about eligibility.

8/1/19 - Election letter sent out to all parents via e mail and with children

23/1/19 (noon) - Closing date for nominations


If 1 nominee then they will be appointed.

If more than 1 nominee then:


25/1/19 - Personal Statements of all nominees to be sent to all parents via e mail and with children.  1 ballot paper to be sent to each family with children.

8/2/19 (noon) - Closing date for ballot papers to be returned.

8/2/19 or 11/2/19 - Successful nominee appointed as parent governor and parents informed of outcome of election.


Meeting dates for the remainder of 2018/19 school year:






Meetings are held once a half term.  These take place at school and start at 6pm.  Meetings generally last 2 hours.


All governors need to have a full DRB check and would be expected to adhere to the code of conduct below.
