Our new topic for the Summer Term is 'heroes and villains'.
This week in Literacy we had a visit from PC Fowler. He asked us to help him as there had been a crime committed in Morrisons. A villain called Burgular Bill had stolen two tins of tuna! We had to create a wanted poster and fill in a crime report, using effective adjectives and expanded noun phrases.
In science we had to investigate the properties of materials. We looked in Burgular Bill's swag bag. We found out what the objects were made from and if the materials could be changed. We debated which material would be the most suitable for Burgular Bill's swag bag.
We also looked at the results of our grass head experiment. We found out that a healthy plant needs light and water to grow properly.
The Tin Forest!
This is our display on the tin forest. We will be adding colour next week!
Fundraiser for Gambia
2L and 2W are raising money for St Denbos primary school in Gambia. We've organised our own activities. It is part of our lenten promise.
We had to be detectives to find out what was damaging our world!
